The Vocational/DT 3 building was completed in October 2000 after their old site was totally destroyed by fire in July 1999. This accessible 7000 sq foot structure on 2 acres provides services to approximately 75 Vocational/DT 3 consumers daily. A gazebo and picnic area completes the facility’s setting.

Coleman Tri County Services Vocational Program provides vocational assessment, training, sheltered work, supported employment, and job placement for an average of 95 to 100 consumers a year. This program has been a successful and progressive program since 1972 and has been CARF accredited since 1979. With job placement as the ultimate goal for consumers, the vocational program averages 30-35 sheltered,15-20 supported employment, and 11-25 competitive job placements a year.

Vocational Development Program


The Vocational Development Program provides training on community subcontract work to consumers that need job readiness and job search skills.



REGULAR WORK PROGRAM


The Vocational Program provides sheltered employment in the Regular Work Program for consumers that demonstrate need for a supervised work setting.

SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM


The Supported Employment Program provides job placement with a job coach present to provide assistance to the consumer and assurance to the employer that the work will be done. Businesses employing SEP consumers includes: a day care center, fast food restaurants, nursing home, steak house restaurant, lumber yard, discount store, etc.



JOB PLACEMENT


The Job Placement Program provides job matching and searches/employer contacts and placement for consumers that are job ready. Post employment contacts (90 days) and in some circumstances Job Coaches are utilized to insure consumers readiness for new position.
